What is Reyds Refrigeration?

Professional repair, maintenance, and installation services for heat pumps, air conditioning, and commercial refrigeration in Montana and Pretoria.

Why is my heat pump not heating water?

The most common causes are a low refrigerant charge, a failed circulation pump, a scaled heat exchanger, a faulty temperature sensor or a reversing valve that is not switching. We measure pressures and water flow before quoting anything.

How long should a heat pump last?

With annual servicing, a good quality hot water heat pump typically gives 8 to 12 years in Pretoria conditions. Skipped maintenance and hard water scaling are what shorten that most.

Can you repair swimming pool heat pumps?

Yes. Pool heat pumps suffer from titanium exchanger fouling, low flow through the bypass and fan bearing failure. All three are repairable if caught early.

My fridge is running but not cooling — what is wrong?

Usually refrigerant loss, a blocked capillary or drier, a defrost fault icing the evaporator, or a condenser fan that has stopped. If the compressor is running warm and the coils are cool, gas loss is likely.

Is regassing a fridge worth it?

Only with a leak repair. A sealed system does not consume gas, so if it is low, there is a leak. We pressure test, repair, vacuum and recharge to specification.

Do you repair commercial display fridges?

Yes — display fridges, under-counter units, bar fridges, wine coolers and chest and upright freezers for retail and hospitality.

How often should an aircon be serviced?

Once a year for a home, twice for offices and anything running long hours. Service includes filter and coil cleaning, drain clearing, electrical checks and a charge verification.

Why does my aircon leak water indoors?

Almost always a blocked condensate drain or a frozen evaporator melting off. Both are quick to resolve, but the freezing itself points to airflow or refrigerant problems worth diagnosing.

Do you install new air conditioners?

Yes, including split, inverter, cassette and ducted systems, sized to the room load with proper vacuuming and commissioning.

How does your pricing work?

We charge a call-out and diagnostic fee, then quote the repair once the fault is confirmed. Nothing is fitted before you approve. Call 069 268 0988 for current rates.

Do you offer maintenance contracts?

Yes. Restaurants, butcheries, supermarkets and offices can be placed on scheduled maintenance with written temperature logs and priority breakdown response.

Are you available after hours?

Emergency call-outs are available 24/7, with the after-hours fee quoted before we dispatch.
